RNOSC Provides Desktop Computers to Five National Federations to Strengthen Operations

As part of its ongoing commitment to enhancing governance and operational efficiency within Rwanda’s sports ecosystem, the Rwanda National Olympic and Sports Committee (RNOSC) has provided desktop computers to five National Federations. The beneficiaries include the Rwanda Table Tennis Federation, Rwanda Handball Federation, Rwanda Aquatics Federation, Rwanda Triathlon Federation, and Rwanda Badminton Sports Federation.

The handover ceremony took place on March 27, 2025, at the RNOSC Headquarters, where representatives from the recipient federations gathered to receive the equipment. This initiative followed an assessment of needs, operational capacity, and resource availability, ensuring targeted support for federations that require digital tools to enhance their administrative and strategic functions.

Speaking at the event, RNOSC Acting President UMULINGA Alice reaffirmed the organization’s commitment to strengthening its member federations and advancing Rwanda’s sports industry. She highlighted that this initiative is designed to be an annual program, subject to resource availability, aiming to address the most pressing needs of sports federations each year.

“These desktops will assist you in your daily work to develop the sport under your responsibility, starting with the projects you plan and manage from your offices,” she stated. “RNOSC remains committed to empowering its members through targeted support and capacity-building initiatives, ensuring sustainable development within the sports ecosystem.”

Beyond providing office equipment, RNOSC continues to implement additional support mechanisms, including leadership development workshops, financial assistance for athletes competing at national and international levels, and governance-strengthening programs. By fostering efficient administration and management, these initiatives contribute to the long-term success of Rwanda’s sports sector.

Despite limited resources, RNOSC has consistently prioritized initiatives that directly impact the development of its members. The Acting President emphasized that the growth of sports federations plays a crucial role in the broader economic progress of the nation, benefiting both the athletes and the industry as a whole.
