L’ensemble du mouvement sportif rwandais était réuni ce samedi 5 mars 2016 à l’hôtel Belvédère de Rubavu dans le cadre de l’Assemblée Générale du Comité National Olympique et Sportif du Rwanda (Rwanda National Olympic and Sports Committee).
Nous avons eu le plaisir de compter parmi nous un représentant de chacune des Fédérations et Associations sportives nationales ainsi que le Directeur des Sports (M.BUGINGO Emmanuel) accompagné du Secrétaire Général du Ministère des Sport et de la Culture (Lieutenant Colonel RUGAMBWA Patrice).
Après un après midi studieux dans le cadre idyllique qu’offre les rives du Lac Kivu, les participants ont pu prendre part à un match de G
ala, le lendemain matin, contre l’équipe de vétéran d’Inyange. Un grand merci à eux !
Nous tenons également à remercier l’ensemble des participants pour leur présence et leur men’s health active à cette assemblée. L’année sportive 2016 sera définitivement une grande année pour le mouvement sportif rwandais !

HADI Janvier du club de cyclisme de Bénédiction a remporté la “Race for culture” (Course de la culture), en 2h47’23’’. Quatrième course des dix qui constituent la Rwanda cycling cup 2015, saison des courses à vélo de la Fédération Rwandaise de Cyclisme, cette course qui s’est déroulée samedi le 11 juillet 2015 dans la province du sud, est partie de Nyungwe à Nyanza sur une distance de 108.4 kilomètres. Au total ils étaient 44 coureurs et 20 ont pu terminer la course. Au classement général les trois premiers sont:
1.HADI Janvier (Club Bénédiction) 2h47’23’’
2.NSENGIMANA Jean Bosco (Club Bénédiction) 2h48’00’’
3.BIZIYAREMYE Joseph (Club Ciné Elmay) 2h51’28’’
Dans la catégorie des moins de 23 ans la course a été remportée par NSENGIMANA Jean Bosco du club de Bénédiction, tandis que chez les juniors c’est MUGISHA Samuel également du club de Bénédiction.

Rwanda National Olympic Committee president Robert Bayigamba has challenged Rwandans to take sports as culture as the world concludes celebrating the 2015 Olympic Week, which started on June 23 and ends today.
In an exclusive interview with Sunday Sport, Bayigamba said that, “The Olympic week is organised under the concept of move, learn, friendship, respect, perform, and discover and we want Rwandans to ensure that they are doing sports.”
“The first Olympic Day was launched on June 23, 1948 and this year we will be celebrating the 67th anniversary,” Bayigamba stated, urging all local sports to help young people get involved in doing sports and to understand its values.
According to Bayigamba, after the Olympic Week, all federation will sign performance contracts and set targets of what will be achieved next year.
“We want people to make sports as culture, we want to educate people to love sports, and it is not for only the youth, even old people,” he added.
The former Minister for Sports, Youth and Culture added, “We want to teach people to respect and create friendships through sports, and always strike to try to be on a high level in whatever you do.”
